Johnson, Marian E. (1930 - 2001)
Marian E. Johnson, 71, Colby, Clark County,
died on Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at Colonial Center, Colby.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, from 4-8 p.m. at
Community Funeral Home, Colby, and again on Friday, Aug. 31, from
10:30 a.m. until funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Colby. The Rev. John Malik will officiate. Burial
will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, town of Colby.
Marian Stachura was born on May 5, 1930, in Mosinee, to Stanley and
Lucia (nee Hilber) Stachura. She attended school in Mosinee. She
married Lorris Louie Johnson on April 26, 1947, at St. Paul's
Church in Mosinee. She worked at the Colby Hotel as a waitress, The
Plaza in Spencer, and Mr. B's in Abbotsford as a cook until she
retired. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Christian
Mothers and the Colby VFW Post 2227 Auxiliary.
Survivors include four children, Linda R. Orlikowski, Withee, James
C. (Margie) Johnson, East Moline, Ill., Carol A. (Chris) Kester,
Ft. Garlan, Colo., and Lois F. Johnson, Unity 13 grandchildren 10
great-grandchildren five sisters, Lorraine (Armin) Boehm, Mosinee,
Gertrude Gerrow, Wausau, Evelyn (Elmo) Romens, Protivin, Iowa,
Cecelia O'Neill, East Brunswick, N.J., and Bernice Sadowski,
Hartford and two brothers, Donald (Pat) Stachura, Hartford, and
Raymond Bud Stachura, Mosinee.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Louie, on July 10, 2000,
her parents, two daughters and three brothers.
Community Funeral Home, Colby, is assisting the family with
arrangements.
