Vogel, Walter Richard (1928 - 2001)

Walter Richard Vogel, 73, Cocoa, Fla., formerly of Loyal, Clark County, died on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, of cancer at the Life Care Center, Melbourne, Fla. A memorial service is planed for Oct. 27, 2001.

Walter Richard Vogel was born on March 27, 1928, in Loyal, to Ray and Ethel (nee Boehning) Vogel. He graduated from Loyal High School in 1946. He married Patricia Jean Straughn on Sept. 10, 1948, at the Methodist Church in Loyal. He worked for 20 years at the Vilter Manufacturing Co. in Milwaukee.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Vogel, Cocoa, Fla. four children, Walter (Pat) Vogel, Milwaukee, Marlin Vogel, California, Sharlene (Gary) DuPuy, Blackstone, Va., Davin (Dita) Vogel, Melbourne, Fla. seven grandchildren one sister, Diane Vogel (Thomas) Prohop, Franklin and one half-brother, Laurence (Marge) Vogel, Villa Park, Ill.

Preceding him in death were his parents a son, Keith Willis Vogel, in 1994 and one sister, Jean Vogel Koci, 1991.
