Boylan, Peter Carey (1899 - 1926)
Peter Carey Boylan was born in Thorp, Clark
County, Wis., Aug. 1, 1899 and died Jan. 21, 1926 at the age of 26
years, 5 months and 20 days.
Carey was taken to St. Joseph hospital at Chippewa Falls, Dec.
28th, where he was operated upon the following Thursday. He had
just about recovered from the effects of the operation when he
contracted influenza, which developed into pneumonia and he passed
away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 21st.
The deceased graduated from the Withee High School, June 1918 and
after graduating remained at home to assist his father in managing
the farm.
He was a kind, trustworthy, energetic, reliable and his intimate
associates never knew a more loyal and generous friend than he
was.
He leaves to mourn his loss his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Boylan,
one sister, Marie, two brothers, Kenneth and James, Many other
relatives and numerous friends.
The funeral took place from Sacred Heart Church, Withee on Monday,
Rev. Father Eisenmann officiating. Interment followed in the
Riverside Cemetery.
