Jensen, Anna Marie (1870 - 1926)

Anna Marie Jensen, wife of Christen Jensen, died at her home in Withee, at 12:30 o'clock Monday morning, and in her passing Withee, Clark County has lost a valuable woman. She and her husband came to Withee more than twenty years ago, and since that time have made it their home. In her early residence there she was a valuable worker in the Danish Lutheran Church, and continued to be up until her failing health caused her to remain at home.

She was sixty-six years of age and leaves to mourn a husband, two sons, James and Arthur and one daughter, Miss Alma, all of Eau Claire. She was a loving wife, a kind mother and with those who knew her she was a true friend.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Danish Lutheran Church, Rev. Petersen of Withee and Rev. Hjortland, pastor of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of Eau Claire officiating. Interment took place in the church cemetery. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of a large number of friends in their hour of sorrow.

Those from away who came to attend the funeral were: Mrs. Hans Christensen and Miss Ida Andersen of Bryant, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Tronsdal, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Nelson, Rev. Hjortland, Louis Bulgrin and Irving C. Barager of Eau Claire.
