Bolman, Elizabeth (1841 - 1926)
This community was shocked Friday morning when a message reached
here telling of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Bolman, wife of the
late Frank G. Bolman, which occurred at the Sacred Heart Hospital
in Eau Claire at 7:30 o'clock in the morning.
Mrs. Bolman was taken sick Wednesday morning, and medical aid was
summoned at once, and when it was learned that she had contracted
pneumonia when was removed to the hospital at Eau Claire for
treatment. Her condition at that time was not thought serious, and
her son and daughter returned home that evening expecting to return
the next day to visit her. During the night her condition grew
steadily worse, and early in the morning her son and daughter were
summoned to come at once, but before their arrival she had passed
beyond.
Mrs. Bolman was sixty-five years of age, and was one of the pioneer
residents of the city, was a leader in church work and in years
past was one of the influential women of the city, and her loss
will be felt by many.
She leaves to mourn one son, Irving of this city, Robert and Sadie,
bother and sister of Eau Claire, and a host of friends. Funeral
services were held Monday afternoon from the residence, Rev. W. P.
Powell of the Congregational Church, officiating, and interment
took place in the family lot at Riverside cemetery.
Those from away who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs.
Howee of Chippewa, Miss Sadie Sloan, Robert Sloan, Misses Louisa
and Kate Fitzgerald of Eau Claire.
