Thompson, Lewis (1796 - 1873)
Died, at his home in the town of Sherman, Clark County, Sunday
morning, April 27, 1873, of diabetes, Lewis Thompson, aged 66
years, 4 months and 6 days.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Addison County, Vermont. He had been a
resident of this county for several years. About four years since
he received a paralytic stroke which seriously impaired his speech
and his usefulness. He patiently bore his sufferings until death
relived him of all earthly cares. He leaves an afflicted widow, and
two or three sorrowing children, who are all married. The deceased
was a member in good standing of the Neillsville Lodge A.F. A.M.,
and his remains were interred in our village cemetery last Tuesday
with Masonic honors.
