Bishop, Belinda (? - 1878)
Died, on the 22nd of Feb., 1878, at her home in Richey, Newton
County, Mo., Belinda, wife of C. H. Bishop.
Mr. Bishop sold his farm in this county (Clark), last fall, and
removed with his family to Missouri, in search of health, in a
milder climate. The deceased had enjoyed unusual good health since
leaving here did not complain of any unusual feelings. The night
she died she ate her supper, did up the work and retired,
apparently in perfect health. At half past three she was a corpse.
Her husband was awakened by her breathing and she only breathed
twice after he awoke.
Mrs. Bishop is dead. Her life is ended here, to be remembered only
by those of us who, in the days of our weakness, have been
ministered unto by the kindly heart, now forever stilled. Her
husband and only child have the heartfelt sympathies of their old
friends and neighbors in Clark County.
