Hills, Hulda Eliza (1877 - 1878)

Hulda Eliza, youngest child of O. H. and H. E. Hills, died at Loyal, Clark County, Wis., on the 16th day of March, 1878, aged, 8 months and 11 days.

Little Lida has gone to the land of the blest,
Where sickness and pain never come
In our dear Savior's bosom forever to rest,
In the far-away heavenly home.
To cheer our sad hears when comforts are few,
To us she was sent for a day,
Sweet little angel, naught but suffering knew,
While with us, on earth, she did stay.
A sweet, patient look her little face wore,
And oft through her tears she would smile.
This cheered us, for we knew that soon she must soar
To God who d call after a while.
Yes, she s gone where pain never comes
Though her sweet little face we will miss,
Her sufferings are o'er with our Savior she dwells
In the heavenly mansions of bliss.
