Duell, Anna (1893 - 1980)
Mrs. Anna Duell, 86, fomerly of Loyal, passed away at the
Neillsville Hospital on Jan. 23, 1980, at 11:30 p.m.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Rinka
Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Adams, pastor of Methodist Church of
Greenwood, officiating. Burial took place at the Loyal
Cemetery.
Anna Flaherty was born Nov. 7, 1893, in Loyal, Clark County, to
Charles and Rhoda (Welsh) Flaherty. She attended Loyal Parochial
School. She was married to frank Duell in 1913 at Neillsville. They
farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1950. She then moved to Loyal
and has lived in Greenwood for the past eight years. She had been
in the Neillsville Nursing Home since Feb. 1979.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Frank, on Sept. 4, 1950,
two sons, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by two
daughters, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Smith, Greenwood Mrs. Floyd (Verle)
Steng, Jefferson one son, Pat of Loyal two sisters, Mrs. Kathryn
Beaver of Eau Claire and Mrs. Agnes Stoneburg, Eugene, Oregon nine
grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The Royal Neighbors, of which she was a member, held a service for
her.
Pallbearers were Kevin Duell, Tom Duell, Patrick Duell, Steve
Vollrath, Floyd Streng, Jr., and Orlando Kind.
Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Duell, Anna (7 November 1893 – 23 January 1980)
Mrs. Anna Duell, 86, passed away Wednesday morning, January 23, in Neillsville
Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Duell, formerly of Loyal, had resided for eight years in
the Black Riverview Apartments in Greenwood and had been a resident of the
Neillsville Memorial Home since February of 1979.
Mrs. Duell was the former Anna Flaherty, born on November 7, 1893, in Loyal and
received her education in Loyal area schools. She married Frank Duell in 1913
Neillsville ceremonies and the couple farmed in the Town of Beaver. After the
death of her husband in 1930, Mrs. Duell moved to Loyal. She was a member pf the
Royal Neighbors of America (Hope Camp 819), which held a R.N.A. service at the
Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal on the evening of January 25.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Smith of Greenwood and
Mrs. Floyd (Merle) Streng if Jefferson; a son Pat, Loyal, two sisters, Mrs.
Kathryn Beaver of Eau Claire and Mrs. Agnes Stoneburg of Eugene, Ore.; nine
grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was
preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held on the afternoon of January 26 from the Rinka Funeral
Home with the Rev. Donald Adams of the Grace United Methodist Church of
Greenwood officiating. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery. Serving as
pallbearers were Kevin, Tom and Patrick Duell, Steve Vollrath, Floyd, Streng,
Jr., and Orlando Kind.
