Andre, Anna (1886 - 1980)
Funeral services were conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Spencer, at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3 for Mrs. Anna Andre, 93, of
308 West Clark Street. Spencer, who died at 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan.
31, 1980 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Officiating was Rev. William Ruhbusch. Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz was
the organist and interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.
Anna Zuehlke was born to the late Ferdinand and Wilhelmena (nee
Lange) Zuehlke In Oconomowoc on Dec. 5, 1886. She received her
education at Oconomowoc Schools.
She was married to Robert Andre on June 15, 1911 at St. John's
Lutheran Church, Sullivan, Wis.
They farmed in the Town of Unity in Clark County until 1948, when
they moved to Spencer.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Robert Andre of Neenah one daughter,
Mrs. Emil (Norma) Luepke of Spencer two step-daughters, Mrs. Leota
Schwantes of Spencer and Mrs. Hilda Weber of West Bend 17
grandchildren 41 great-grandchildren 16 great-great-grandchildren
two brothers, Otto Zuehlke of Sullivan and George Zuehlke of Loyal
and one sister, Mrs. Emily Wenzel of Sullivan.
Her grandsons, Frank, David and Richard Luepke, Tim and Tom Andre
and Gerald Schwantes served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers
were James Weber, Roger, Arlyn and Robert Schwantes, also
grandsons.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert on Jan. 18, 1964
three brothers and three sisters.
