Schoettler, Donald (1918 - 1980)
Don Schoettler, 62, 3755 Grove Road, Green
Bay, died Thursday afternoon at a local hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1918 at Greenwood, Clark County to the late
Ernest and Alvina Schoettler.
He served in the Army during World War II and married the former
Bea Groth on Sept. 2, 1955. Mr. Schoettler had been employed by the
American National and the National Guardian Life Insurance
Companies for many years. For the past five years he was a hosing
contractor. He developed the Schoettler Meadow Lake Development
Center in Green Bay.
He was a member of the Nazarene Shrine No. 8, the Washington
Chapter No. 124, O.E.S., the Tripoli Temple, the Green Bay Shrine
Club and the Elks Club.
Survivors include his wife, Bea two sisters, Mrs. Leone Garske of
Schofield and Mrs. Jack (Evelyn) Schweiger of Loyal one
step-daughter, Mrs. Rodger (Jeanne) Wauters, Denmark four
grandchildren one niece and two nephews.
Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Lyndale Funeral
Home, with the Rev. John Machek officiating. Burial was in the Fort
Howard Cemetery.
