Bottlemy, Ronald Gay (1952 - 1980)
Ronald Gay Bottlemy, 28, of Boyd, died on Friday morning, May 9,
1980 from injuries received when he fell off a silo in the Town of
True (rural Glen Flora, Wis.), while working for Rochester Silo
Co.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, May 12 at the
United Methodist Church in Stanley. Rev. Clarence Cheevers
officiated and burial was at Edson Union Cemetery, Boyd.
Ronald Bottlemy was born to Warren and Joanne (Rice) Bottlemy in
Woodstock, Ill. on Jan. 6, 1952 and graduated from Owen High school
in 1970.
He moved to the Owen, Clark County area when he was eight years old
with his parents and lived in the area until Oct. of 1979, when he
moved to Boyd. He has been employed by Rochester Silo Co. for the
last three years.
He was married to Linda Shilts in Greenwood on Dec. 12, 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Linda one son, Scott, at home three
daughters, Shelly, Sherry, Sarah, all at home his parents, Mrs. and
Mrs. Warren Bottlemy of Owen, four brothers, Douglas of Thorp
Gregory of Owen Kurt of Rockford and Mark at home his paternal
grandmother, Mrs. Elmer Bottlemy of Alden, Ill. and his maternal
grandfather, Matt Rice of Harvard, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, was in charge of arrangements.
