Wojner, Alice (1922 - 1980)


Funeral services for Alice Witt Wojner, 57, of 419 South 4th, Abbotsford, Clark County, will be conducted at 3 p.m., Wednesday, May 28 at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford.


Mrs. Wojner died at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford, on Sunday morning, May 25, 1980.


Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth Loehrke and burial will be in the Abbotsford Cemetery.


Alice Witt was born on Aug. 12, 1922 in the Town of Beaver to the late Alexander Witt and Mrs. Leonora (nee Matthias) Witt.


She was married to valentine Wojner on Nov. 18, 1938 in Greenwood.


They lived in Greenwood from 1938 until 1942 in Chicago from 1942 until 1946 and in 1946 she moved to Abbotsford, where they operated the Abbotsford Auto, Inc.


She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and its ladies aid, of which she was a past vice-president. She was also active in bowling leagues.


Surviving her are her husband three sons, Jerald, Roger and Mark, all of Abbotsford one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Wendy) Kramas, Abbotsford her mother, Mrs. Leonora Witt, residing at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford 10 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Doris) Nidy of Milwaukee and Mrs. William (Frieda) Kolczycki of New Jersey.


Serving as pallbearers were Ira Hehrichi, Norman Olsen, Junior Tesmer, Norman Reineking, Bud Grubb and Ken Wilhelmi.


She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.


Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
