Champa, Anna M. (1904 - 1980)
Anna M. Champa, 76, formerly of Willard, Clark County, died at
about 8 a.m., Monday, May 26, 1980.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 29 at Holy
Family Church, Willard. Rev. James Lesczynski will officiate and
burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood from
2-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, and will be taken to the church
Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
Anna Champa was born to Frank, Sr. and Ursula (nee Strojin) Champa
on April 24, 1904 in Ely, Minn. and attended the Blackberry School
at Tioga.
She was never married and worked for a time in Chicago. She had
been a correspondent for the Clark County Press, Neillsville, for
50 years. She had been living on the home farm in the Town of
Hendren until entering the nursing home in 1977.
She was a member of Holy Family Church and KSKJ Lodge.
A PCCW Rosary will be said on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the
church.
Surviving her are two brothers, Frank, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio and
John of Greenwood.
Jern Pernic, Frank Morgal, John Francel, Frank Perushek, John Perme
and Tony Prebil served as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
