Sterr, Dorthea (1898 - 1980)
Mrs. Elmer (Dorthea) Sterr, 82, of 212 South Adams, Marshfield,
died at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 1, 1980 at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 4 at
Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Rev. T. P. Bradtke officiated
and burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mrs. Wayne Lauterbach was the soloist and Mrs. T. P. Bradtke the
organist.
Dorthea Kletti was born on Jan. 30, 1908 at Slinger. She married
Elmer Sterr in 1917 at Lomira, Wis.
They moved to Loyal, Clark County from Lomira in 1926, and owned
and operated the Loyal Canning Co. until 1976. They moved to
Marshfield in 1974 and have resided there ever since.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer, one daughter, Mrs. Ethel Will
of Marshfield.
Preceding her in death were one son, one daughter, one sister and
two brothers.
Ray Schmidt, Wallace Szymanski, Louis Gerhard, Carl Myre, Frank
Zygarlicke and Herb Ziebell served as pallbearers. Hanson Funeral
Home, Marshfield, was in charge of arrangements.
Anyone wishing to leave memorials, they can be left at Christ
Lutheran Church, Marshfield.
