Cline, Gladys M. (1886 - 1980)
Gladys M. Cline, 94, of 323 South Main, Greenwood, Clark County,
died at 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, 1980 at Neillsville Hospital,
where she had been for two weeks after suffering a fall and
fracturing her hip.
Funeral services were conducted by Mr. Keith Noah of Neillsville at
1 p.m., Saturday, May 31 at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Mrs.
Carol Turnquist was the soloist and burial was in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
Gladys McNamara was born on Jan. 10, 1886 in Iowa to James and
Luella (nee Palmer) McNamara and attended a school in Iowa.
She married George Cline on March 5, 1901 in Delhi, Iowa.
After their marriage, they farmed in Iowa, moving to Wisconsin in
1919 and farming in the Town of Loyal until 1924. Then they moved
to Vesper and farmed. She has lived in the city of Greenwood for
the past 30 years.
She was a member of Neillsville Jehovah Witness congregation.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marguerite Yench of Two
Rivers and Mrs. Fred (Euella) Hohl of Greenwood two sons, David C.
of Vesper and frank of Nekoosa two sisters, Mrs. Morse (Ella) Knapp
of Los Angeles, Calif. And Mrs. Lula Brock of Marshfield one
brother, Roy McNamara of Chippewa Falls 16 grandchildren 55
great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1951 one son richard and
seven brothers and sisters.
Serving as pallbearers were Jerome Berger, Terry Berger, Brain
Berger, Walter Hohl, Twyman Mullins and Paul Dragert. Rinka Funeral
Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
