Chubb, Julia (1902 - 1980)
Mrs. Julia Chubb, 78, of 102 E. Schofield, Greenwood, Clark County,
died at 6:20 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, 1980, at the Neillsville
Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 16,
at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. Rev. Sam Kochel
officiated, Mrs. Paul Forde was the soloist, and Mrs. Lil Warner
the organist.
Interment was in the Lynn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were
Robert Carl, Don Noeldner, Art Kolstad, Art Christie, Clarence
Verhulst and Del Bravener. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in
charge of arrangements.
Julia Burdick was born to Alfred and Flora (nee Kiser) Burdick on
April 19, 1902, in the Town of Lynn and received her education at
Sunbeam School.
She married Arthur Chubb on Nov. 24, 1920, in the Town of Lynn.
After their marriage, they farmed in the Town of Lynn until 1946,
when they moved to Greenwood. She was in partnership with her
nephew, Lee Chubb, in the Pine Service Station, which he
operated.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Earl of Granton three sisters, Mrs.
Martha Sternitzky of Memorial Home, Neillsville, Mrs. Edna
Sternitzky of Spencer and Mrs. Joe (Anna) Pernsteiner of Greenwood
nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1954 one brother and one
sister.
