Gempeler, Werner (1894 - 1980)

Werner Gempeler, 86, of Winter Haven, Fla., was struck and killed by an automobile Monday, Aug. 11, 1980 in Florida.

He is survived by Emma Gempeler, Loyal a sister, Adelia in Switzerland and three children, Rose (Harold) Lee of Menomonie Erwin Gempeler of Milwaukee and Katherine Hammond of Milwaukee. There are also five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren surviving.

Mr. Gempeler came to the United States from Switzerland in 1928. He moved to the Loyal Clark County area in the early 1930 s, where he operated the North Star Dairy until 1948, when he retired from cheese making.
