Pekol, Joe (1905 - 1980)
Joe Pekol, 75, of 200 South Union St., Loyal, Clark County, died
Sunday evening, Nov. 9, 1980 at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. at Holy
Family Catholic Church, Willard. Rev. James Lesczynski will
officiate and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Joe Pekol was born on April 5, 1905 in Joliet, Ill. to Joe and
Helen Pekol and received his education at Willard School.
He married Rose Klancher on Oct. 11, 1933, at Neillsville.
After his marriage, he lived in Chicago and worked for the American
Forge Co. as a grinder. In 1960, they moved to the Greenwood area
and worked for Plautz Brothers for 15 years. They moved to Loyal in
1978.
Surviving him are his wife, Rose two daughters, Mrs. Randy (Susan)
Fife of Attica, Ohio and Mrs. Gloria Finik of Alsip, Ill. two
brothers, Stanley of Wausau and Edward of Willard three sisters,
Mrs. Ivin (Mary) Ruzic of Milwaukee, Mrs. Helen Zulick of Lodi and
Mrs. Julia Pernic of Thorp, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Hoe Ulesich, Joe Staresinic, Frank Pekol, Richard Hagen, John
Trunkel and Elmer Kuester will served as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral
Home is in charge of arrangements.
