Scharf, Harold (1906 - 1980)
Funeral services for Harold Scharf, 74, of Route 1, Granton, Clark
County, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Mr. Scharf died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1980, at 7 a.m. at his home.
Rev. Maynard Stokka will officiate at the service at Zion American
Lutheran Church, Town of Grant. Interment will be in the church
cemetery.
Mr. Scharf was born on Aug. 6, 1906, in the Town of Fremont.
He married Mamie Gardner on June 27, 1950. He farmed in the Town of
Fremont.
He is survived by his wife, Mamie and two sisters, Mrs. Otto
(Selma) Hansen of Milwaukee and Mrs. LaRue (Nina) Potts of
Greenwood.
Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, is handling arrangements.

Scharf, Harold (6 August 1906 – 28 December 1980)
A longtime farmer from the Town of Fremont, Harold Scharf, 74, passed away on
Sunday morning, December 28, at his Rt. 2 Granton home.
Mr. Scharf was born on august 6, 1906, in the Town of Fremont to William and
Emma (Ratsch) Scharf. He received his education there and on June 27, 1950, he
married Mamie Gardner in services at the American Lutheran Church parsonage. The
couple continued farming in the Town of Fremont. He was a member of Zion
American Lutheran Church.
Surviving him, besides his wife, are two sisters, Mrs. Otto (Selma) Hansen of
Milwaukee and mrs. LaRue (Nina) Potts of Greenwood.
Funeral services were to be held on Wednesday afternoon, December 31, from the
Zion American Lutheran Church with the Rev. Maynard Stokka officiating. Burial
was to be made in the church cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral Home was in charge
of arrangements.
