Vanderhoof, Munson (1897 - 1981)
Munson Vanderhoof, 83, formerly of Spencer, now residing at Wis.
Veteran s Home at King, Wis., died at the home Sunday morning, Jan.
11, 1981.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at
Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.
Officiating was Rev. William Ruhbusch. Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz was
the organist and Larry Gehrke the soloist. Interment was in the
Salem Lutheran church Cemetery at Veefkind.
Munson Vanderhoof was born to the late Munson and Charlotte (nee
Miller) Vanderhoof on July 25, 1897, in the Town of Sherman, Clark
County.
He married Forence Schroeder on March 21, 1923, at Salem Lutheran
Church, Veefkind.
He was employed as a truck driver milk hauler he farmed in the Town
of Sherman, then worked for Weyerhaeuser for a number of years
before retirement.
He was a veteran of WWI in the Navy a member of the American Legion
a past member of the Marshfield VFW and was also a member of
Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer.
Surviving him are three sons, Robert of Northfield, Minn., Munson,
Jr. of Spencer and Albert of Roy, Utah two daughters, Mrs. Russell
(Lorena) Gehrke of Spencer and Mrs. Clarence (Janet) Ertl of Neenah
14 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Ward of
Spencer, David of Marshfield and Louis of Merrill.
Preceding him in death was his wife on April 27, 1976 one grandson
one brother and two sisters.
Gary, Robbi and Rick Ertl, Timothy Vanderhoof, Ronald Currie and
Craig Brandt served as pallbearers. Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was
in charge of arrangements.
