Longridge, Lloyd (1906 - 1981)


Lloyd Longridge, 74, of Route 3, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1981, at his home. His death was attributed to natural causes.


A private funeral service was at 1p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery with Alvin Wehrman, Don Ossman, Tony Suda, Sr., Bob Kohlnhofer, Tom Steele and Jerome Briski serving as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.


Lloyd Longridge was born to John and Emma Longridge on Oct. 11, 1906, in Iowa. He received his education at rural Greenwood Schools.


He married Zelda Mason on May 31, 1939, in Chicago.


He farmed all of his life in the Town of Warner.


Surviving him are his wife one son, Jerry of Madison; two sisters, Mrs. D.W. (Gladys) Jones of Hutchinson, Kansas; and Mrs. Grace Metcalf of Owen; and one brother, Emmett of Shrevesport, La.


Preceding him in death was one brother, Albert.
