Wilke, Edward (1957 - 1981)
Funeral services for Edward C., Penelope Lee and Jennifer Lee Wilke
will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 19 at St. Anthony's Catholic
Church, Loyal.
Rev. James Logan will officiate and burial will be in the parish
cemetery.
They were killed at about 11 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 1981, when
their car collided with another on Highway 13, south of
Spencer.
The bodies will lie in state at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, after 3
p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, and Thursday morning until the time of
service.
A Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary will be said at 3:15 p.m.
a Prayer Service at 8:30 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 9
p.m., Wednesday, March 18.
Edward C. Wilke was born on July 25, 1957 in Marshfield to Frank
and Irene (nee Lindner) Wilke and attended St. Anthony's School. He
graduated from Loyal High School in 1975.
He and Penelope Foster were married on sept. 27, 1980, at
Loyal.
He was employed by Lindner Construction Company. He was a member of
St. Anthony's Church, Loyal, and the Greenwood Jaycees.
Survivors include his parents his grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs.
Casper Lindner of Greenwood; and Mrs. Agnes Wilke of Marshfield;
five brothers, Steve of River Falls; and Bernard, Thomas, Robert
and Anthony, all at home and five sisters, Mrs. Catherine (Dennis)
Weber of Menomonie, Mrs. Ed (Diane) Kollmansberger of Loyal,
Patricia of Austin, Texas, LouAnn of Eau Claire and Lisa, at
home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Sladich, Mark Gregorich, Dennis
Lindner, Al Mohr, Terry Lindner and Mark Lindner.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is handling the arrangements.
