Fegre, Melvin (1913 - 1981)
Melvin Fegre, 67, of route 7, Janesville, Wis., died April 2, 1981
at University Hospital, Madison, after a month s illness resulting
from a fall from an accident at a local school.
Born Dec. 4, 1913, in Rushford, Minn., he married Mae Johnson in
1947. He was employed at Greenwood, Cooperative for 17 years and
also for the City of Greenwood, Clark County several years before
moving to Janesville. He was employed as a custodian at First
Lutheran Church, which he attended. He was a custodian at the
Janesville Medical Center and later at the Janesville School
System.
Surviving him are his wife, three sons, Keith, Kevin, and Calvin,
and a daughter, Lori, all of Janesville two brothers, Kenneth of
Florida and Lloyd of Lewiston, Minn. and two sisters, Clara Schaupp
of Winona, Minn., and Mabel Knoblack of Park Rapids, Minn.
Services were held on Saturday, April 4, at the chapel at First
Lutheran Church.
