Milz, James W. (1955 - 1981)


Funeral services for James Wayne Milz, 26, of Route 2, Loyal, Town of York, Clark County, were conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 6, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal.


Mr. Milz died at 4:30 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 1981, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Officiated was Rev. Michael Mertens of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. St. Anthony's Choir sang. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
James Milz was born on March 22, 1955, in Cresco, Iowa to Edward and Luella (nee Albertson) Milz. He received his education at St. Anthony's School and graduated from Loyal High school in 1973.


He was married to Nancy Schmitt in Loyal on July 26, 1975. He farmed until his illness in 1978, when they moved to the Loyal area. He held part-time jobs while in Loyal.


Surviving him are his wife, Nancy one daughter, Christy his mother and step-father, Mrs. and Mrs. Paul (Luella) Guillaume of Loyal five brothers, Duane, Dean and Ken of Loyal, Raymond of Milladore and Tim of Arpin five sisters, Mrs. Paul (Sharon) Jirak of Calmar, Iowa, Mrs. James (Patricia) Welsh of Marshfield, Mrs. David (Nancy) Wucherpfennig of Greenwood, Mrs. Steve (Beverly) Steines of Onalaska and Sue of Greenwood and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Albertson of Cresco, Iowa.


He was predeceased by his father and one sister.


Serving as pallbearers were Allan Teter, Bob Bruns, Tom Milz, Wayne Milz, Fritz Schecklman and Bob Meyer. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
