Hium, Emma (1904 - 1981)
Mrs. Emma Hium, 77, Route 3, Greenwood, Clark County, was killed on
Thursday morning, June 18, 1981, when her car was hit by a dump
truck in the City of Neillsville.
Funeral services were at 1:30 Monday, June, 22, at Immanuel United
Church of Christ. Rev. Alwyn York officiated and interment was in
the West Side Cemetery.
Emma Wehrman was born on Jan. 21, 1904, in the Town of Warner to
Wilhelm and Henrietta Wehrman, and received her education at rural
Decker School.
She married Ted Hium on June 6, 1923, in the Town of Warner. They
farmed in the Town of Warner until 1960, and continued living on
the home farm.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Ken of Greenwood, one daughter, Mrs.
Chet (Marie) Nirva of Withee six grandchildren five
great-grandchildren and two brothers, William Wehrman of Loyal and
Oscar Wehrman of Greenwood.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1960, four sisters and
five brothers.
Ms. LuAnn Horn and Susan Richmond were the singers and Mrs. Lil
Albert the organist. Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Turnquist,
Richard Puestow, David Wolover, Norman Schmidt, Ken Schmidt and
Gary Kind. Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
