Marvin, Henry (1897 - 1981)
Funeral services for Henry Marvin, 83, of Greenwood, Clark County,
were at 1:30 p.m., Monday, June 29, at Rinka Funeral Home,
Greenwood.
Mr. Marvin died Thursday evening, June 25, 1981, at Memorial
Hospital, Neillsville.
Officiating was Rev. Joseph R. Kraly of Trinity Lutheran Church,
Loyal. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Henry Marvin was born on April 26, 1897, in Greenwood. He was
educated at rural Greenwood Schools.
He married Leola Stretsberry in 1924, in Hillsboro. They were later
divorced.
He worked for several saw mills and various farms in and around the
Greenwood area.
He was a World War I veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sylvester (Zelda) Geiger of
Dorchester and Mrs. Eleanor Olsen of Elroy one son, Robert of Elroy
one brother, Harry of Loyal one sister, Mrs. Archie (Ruth)
Cleveland of Cudahy 15 grandchildren and ten
great-grandchildren.
Full military rites were conducted by the Greenwood American
Legion. The flag was presented by LaVerne Brown. Rinka Funeral
Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.
