Loos, Rose (1891 - 1981)


Mrs. Rose Loos, 90, of 711 South Irwin Av., Green Bay, died Monday morning, June 29, 1981, at a local nursing home, following a short illness.


Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, at St. Mary of the Angels Church, with Rev. Valentine Myslicki officiating. Interment was in Weyauwega.


Rose Bentzler was born on April 3, 1891, in Loyal, Clark County, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Matthias Bentzler.


She was married to John Loos in 1928 in Weyauwega. He died in 1936.


She was a resident of Green Bay since 1940, and was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Church, the St. Elizabeth Society of the Church and the Third Order of St. Francis.


Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. William (Dolores) Liebergen of Green Bay four grandchildren two great-grandchildren three brothers, Matthew of South Bend, Ind., Peter of Misawaki, Ind. and George of Loyal four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Wenzel of Hartford, Sister Carmelita, Sister Carmelia and Sister Rose Carmel, all of the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc.


A third Order of St. Francis Rosary was said at 7 p.m. and a St. Elizabeth Society Prayer service at 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 30.
