Speich, Steven (1958 - 1981)


Steven Speich, 23, of Main St., Greenwood, Clark County, died Monday morning, Aug. 3, 1981, in an automobile accident.


Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Michael Mertens will officiate and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.


Visitation will be after 4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood.


Steven Speich was born to Ken and Sally (nee Parker) Speich at Marshfield on April 9, 1958. He received his education at St. Mary's and Greenwood Grade School and graduated in 1976 from Greenwood High School.


He was employed by his father at Speich Tractor, Inc. He was never married.


He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Greenwood-Willard Area Jaycees.


Survivors include his parents, Ken and Sally Speich seven sisters, Mrs. Dennis (Sue) Marth of Marshfield, Mrs. Ed (Pam) Brux of Greenwood, Mrs. Gary (Pat) Krause of Greenwood, Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Verhulst of Marshfield, Mrs. Dennis (Jeanne) Steffen of Greenwood, Mrs. Rodney (Laura) Kowalczyk of Loyal and Sharon, at home and his grandparents, Mrs. Barbara Speich of Greenwood, and Mrs. Pauline Daines of Owen.


An 8 p.m. Prayer Service will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Serving as pallbearers will be Tom Burns, Terry Olson, Greg Langreck, Rod Gulczinski, Rich Burkett and Kevin Klimpke. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, is handling arrangements.
