Anderson, Leila (1920 - 1981)
Mrs. Leila Anderson, 61, Route 1, Loyal, Town of Loyal, Clark
County, died at 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1981, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 4, at the
United Methodist Church, Loyal. Rev. Charles Strong of Spencer
United Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be in the
Loyal Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, after 4
p.m., Thursday, Aug. 3, and Friday morning after 9 a.m. until the
time of the service.
Leila Smith was born to Owen and Eavina (nee Tietch) Smith in Iowa
on March 2, 1920. She received her education at Loyal School.
She married L.G. Anderson on April 20, 1941, at Loyal. They farmed
in the Town of Loyal and her husband ran the Anderson Repair Shop.
She was custodian at the Methodist Church for many years and was
very active in church activities and drove school bus for Loyal
Public Schools.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Church
Guild.
Surviving her are six daughters, Mrs. Colleen Heck of Owen, Wendy
Anderson of Loyal, Mrs. Terry (Lola) Lincoln of Superior, Mrs. Gary
(Chris) Huskelhus of Eau Claire Letha Anderson, at home and Amy
Anderson of Superior eight grandchildren one sister, Mrs. Bill
(Juanita) Zeltner of Canton, Ill. and two brothers, Clayton Welsch
of Muscatine, Iowa and Dale Smith of Chetek.
Preceding her in death were her husband and her parents.
Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is handling arrangements.
