Dewhurst, Lillian (1866 - 1873)
Died, in this place (Neillsville, Clark County), on the 28th of
Nov. 1873, of typhoid Intermittent Fever, Lillian, daughter of R.
Maria S. Dewhurst, aged 7 years and 3 months.
Lillian was a most beautiful and promising child, the idol of her
own home and the pet of all that knew her. She was taken sick
during the first week of November, and grew rapidly worse until her
disease baffled the loving care of friends, and the skill of the
physicians, who during the last week remained with her night and
day. She suffered indiscernibly from the first, and when death
care, it was a welcome release from that but a few weeks before had
seemed so bright with happy surroundings and still happier
promise.
