DIED--Riplinger - At her home in this village, on Friday evening, the 12th, of Dropsy. Katharina, beloved wife of Frank Riplinger, in the thirty-ninth year of her age.

Katharina Schill, was born in Germany, Dec. 4th, 1850, and came to this country six years later with her parents, who settle din Manitowoc County. She was there united in marriage with Frank Riplinger, January 19th, 1869, and with her husband came to Colby in the fall of 1875. During her residence here she has made many friends. She was one of the most kindly disposed and even tempered women of this place. She was completely wrapped up in her family, unostentatious in manner, kindly in disposition and was loved and respected by all who became acquainted with her. For the past three years she has been an uncomplaining invalid, most of the time unable to perform the lightest of household duties.

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her loss two sons and two daughters to whom she had always been a kind, loving and indulgent mother. The funeral occurred at the Catholic Church last Monday, Rev. Father Joerres officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery.
