"Death of Orson Cornwell"


Orson Cornwell formerly an old resident here died at Camden, NY, Nov. 9, 1911. His remains were sent here for burial, which took place Wednesday, burial services having been held at his home in Camden.

 

He was born in Jefferson County, NY on Feb. 19, 1829. He was married to Helen Goodrich in 1854 and came to Neillsville, Clark County, Wis, in 1866. She died in 1896. About nine years ago Mr. Cornwell returned to New York State where he married Mary Stevnes who survives.

 

Mrs. Robert Garvin, his only child, lives at Watertown, SD. She was unable, on account of sickness in the family, to be here. One brother, Oscar, lives at the Veterans Home at Waupaca, WI. Deceased followed farming and was also a skilled carpenter, and builder. He was an intelligent and upright citizen.
