Fleming, Gordon J. III (1956 - 1981)


Gordon J. Fleming III, 25, and his daughter Anna Marie Fleming, 4, of 301 E. Central, Greenwood, Clark County, died at about 6 a.m., Friday, Oct. 9, 1981, in a house fire at their home.


Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12, at the United Methodist Church, Greenwood. Officiating was Rev. Donald Adams. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Fleming were Mike Buchholz, Ed Sloniker, Red Standiford, David Enert, Dennis Colby, Sr. and Art Christie.
Gordon J. Fleming III was born on Jan. 15, 1956, at Neillsville. He attended Greenwood grade and high schools.


He was employed for UBC in Loyal for a few years, then worked for O.W. Trindal Co. in Loyal for a year. For the past two years he has been employed by Cooperative Services in Greenwood.


Surviving Mr. Fleming are his wife, Dorothy one daughter, Kimberly at home his mother, Mrs. Wilma Susa of Greenwood his father, Gordon Fleming, Jr. of Nebraska two sister, Miss Spring Fleming of Chicago and Miss Vicki Susa of Greenwood and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Fleming, Sr. of Park Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Prior of California.


Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.
