Schune, Lydia (1913 - 1981)
Services were held for Miss Lydia Schune, 68, Granton, Clark
County, on Nov. 5, at 11 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton,
with the Rev. E. T. Keller, Pittsville officiating. Burial followed
in the church cemetery.
Beverly Helm was soloist, accompanied by Caroline Helm. She sang
"How Great Thou Art". The congregation sang "What a Friend We Have
In Jesus".
Pallbearers were Frederick Elmhorst, Lucien Moh, Robert Canfield,
Edwin Sternitzky, Harold Mortensen and Ervin Sternitzky.
Miss Schune, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Schune, was born Sept.
30, 1913, in the Town of Grant, where she received her education.
She had worked as a telephone operator in Granton for many years.
The past several years she had cared for elderly persons at
Marshfield and Neillsville. Since August she had spent most of the
time hospitalized.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Granton.
Survivors are several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents
and a sister, Marcella.
