Koschak, Frances (1914 - 1982)
Mrs. Frances Koschak, 67, of 308 South White, Greenwood, died at 7
a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1982, of an apparent heart attack while
shoveling snow in front of her home.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 15 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Michael Mertens officiated and
burial was in the parish cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were
Arthur Francel, Donald Lesar, Steve Koschak, John Koschak, Chuck
Krapf and Jim Francel. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled
arrangements.
Frances Francel was born on Nov. 25, 1914, at Willard to frank and
Johanna Francel. She was educated at a rural Willard School.
She married Ignatius Koschak on Oct. 19, 1933, at Willard. They
worked in the cheesemaking business, living at Thorp, Willard and
Greenwood. Since 1948, she had been living in the City of
Greenwood.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Ann's Society
and KSKJ Slovanian Lodge.
Surviving her are five daughters, Mrs. Donald (Barbara) Bobb of
Watertown, Mrs. Donald (Frances) Ternus of Wausau, Mr. Frank
(Kathleen) Parkel of Stoughton, Mrs. Thomas (Bernadine) Wall of
Kimberly, Mrs. Gary (Mary Jo) Rinholen of Mondovi two brothers,
John Francel of Neillsville and Paul Francel of Racine seven
sisters, Mrs. Hannah Kokaly of McFarland, Mrs. Agnes Schnaitmann of
Evanston, Ill., Mrs. Lambert (Mary) Butzen of Chicago, Mrs. Theresa
Krancj of Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Tony (Pauline) Hribar of Lakevilla,
Ill., Mrs. Ludwig (Josephine) Koschak of Jacksonville, Fla. And
Mrs. Frank (Hedwig) Klinke of Greenwood and ten grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ignatius, on April 14, 1978
two brothers, Frank and Joe and her parents.
An 8 p.m. prayer service was conducted on Jan. 14.
