Meyer, Ann (1907 - 1982)
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Paul (Ann Verschay)
Meyer, 75, on Jan. 28, 1982, at O'Conner Hospital, San Jose,
Cal.
Mrs. Meyer was born in Calumet, Mich., on June 28, 1907, to the
late Mr. and Mrs. John Vershay of Greenwood. In 1914, she moved
with her parents to Willard, Clark County, Wis., to further her
education and worked as a secretary.
In 1932, she was married to Paul H. Meyer in New York. In 1944,
they moved to Greenwood and bought and operated the Greenwood Caf
until 1949, when they purchased a resort in Minocqua, retiring in
1964. Since their retirement, they have made their home in San
Jose, Cal.
In addition to her husband, Paul, she is survived by one daughter,
Mrs. William (Nancy) Kolmodin two granddaughters, Audrey and Lori
of Orinda, Cal. one brother, John Verschay of Neillsville four
sisters, Marie Jeras, Mrs. Henry (Jean) Isaacson, Mrs. Sam (Kay)
Grap, all of Marshfield and Mrs. Cecil (Christine) Anderson of
Kansas City, Mo.
She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Joe
Verschay.
