Cook, Charles (1914 - 1982)
Funeral services for Charles Cook, 68, of Route 1, Spencer, who
died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1982, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield,
were conducted at 11 a.m., Feb. 8, at Spencer United Methodist
Church. Rev. Charles Strong officiated and burial was in the West
Spencer Cemetery.
Mr. Cook was born in Spragueville, Iowa, on Jan. 24, 1914.
He was married to Linda Vincent on April 23, 1942, at the Loyal
Methodist Parsonage. He farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1964,
then worked for Pathfinder until retiring in 1974. He was a member
of the Spencer United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife six sons, Harvey, Lynn, Scott and Thomas,
all at home, Roger of Hazelhurst and Robert of Chicago five
daughters, Mrs. John (Patricia) Schultz of Wausau, Mrs. Steve
(Ellen) Blanchard of Spencer, Miss Shirley Cook of Schofield, Mrs.
Ray (Marjorie) Diers of Spencer and Miss Carol Cook of Marshfield
his mother, Mrs. Elsie Cook of Spencer eight grandchildren three
brothers, Francis of Plymouth, Emery of Spencer and Loraine of
Spencer one sister, Mrs. Harry (Janice) Owen of Eau Claire.
Preceding him in death were two sons and his father, Lyle Cook.
Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, handled arrangements.
