Sturtz, Ruth (1899 - 1982)
Funeral services for Ruth Sturtz, 82, of 107 S. Thomas, Loyal,
Clark County, will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 11, at Trinity
Lutheran Church, Loyal. Rev. Joseph Kraly will officiate. A 1:30
p.m. committal service will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at
Unity. LaVerne Kronberger, John Olson, Norman Schmidt, Harold Dahl,
Ervin Dux and Ronald Radue will served as pallbearers.
Visitations will be at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal after 3 p.m.,
Wednesday and at 9:30 a.m., Thursday at the church.
Ruth Miller was born on Aug. 19, 1899, at Excelsior, Wis., Richland
County, to Jacob and Hannah (nee Dieter) Miller. She received her
education at Excelsior and Braun Settlement Schools at
Greenwood.
She lived in Loyal after her marriage to Howard Sturtz. She was an
active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity and the Trinity
Lutheran Church Women.
Surviving are her husband, Howard Sturtz, Sr., Loyal one daughter,
Mrs. Avid (Lucille) Talcott of Colby two step-daughters, Mrs.
Bernadine Miller of Abbotsford and Mrs. Wilbur (Carol) Hagen of
Neillsville two step-sons, Howard Sturtz II of Neillsville and
Donald Sturtz of Richmond, Va. one brother, Clifton Miller of Gary,
Ind. 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
Rinka Funeral Home handled arrangements.
