Scharenbrock, John C. (1903 - 1982)
John C. Scharenbrock, 78, of Route 1,
Willard, Town of Hendren, Clark County, died on Thursday, March 18,
1982, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Monday, March 22, at Holy Family
Catholic Church, Willard. Officiating was Father James J.
Lesczynski. Interment was in Holy Family Cemetery.
A wake service was conducted at 8 p.m., Sunday, March 21, at the
church.
Serving as pallbearers were Edward Bayuk, Joseph Bayuk, LaVerne
Gregorich, Walter Backus, Herbert Kurth and Bryan Glass. Gesche
Funeral Home, Neillsville, handled arrangements.
John Scharenbrock was born on Oct. 28, 1903, at Sheboygan to John
and Juliana (nee Adolph) Scharenbrock.
He started his schooling in Sheboygan and then moved with his
parents to the Willard area, where he finished his education. He
farmed in the Willard area until his marriage to Betty Claire on
June 11, 1935, at Rockford, Ill.
After their marriage, they moved to Chicago, Ill., where he was
employed as a carpenter until his retirement in 1965. They then
moved back to the Willard area.
Surviving him are his wife, betty two children, John C. of Chicago,
Ill., and James P. of Raleigh, N.C. five grandchildren two
great-grandchildren six sisters, Marie Bourque of Chicago, Ill.,
Anna Lauer of Stanley, Mrs. Ludwig (Betty) Jordan of Willard, Mrs.
Herbert (Alice) Kurth of Neillsville, Mrs. Bryan (Marcella) Glass
of Neillsville and Julia Trybula of Willard.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother,
Andrew.
