Clouse, Ernest B. (1895 - 1982)


Funeral services for Ernest B. Clouse, 86, of Route 1, Chippewa Falls, will be conducted at 11 am., Thursday, April 1, at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Sanford, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Loyal. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Clouse died at 11:15 p.m., Monday, March 29, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire.

Friends may call after 3 p.m., Wednesday, at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal.

Ernest Clouse was born to Frank and Sara (nee Rogers) Clouse at Loyal, Clark County, on May 4, 1895. He received his education at rural Loyal schools.

He and Edith Smith were married on Jan. 28, 1931, at Owen. They celebrated their golden Wedding Anniversary in 1981.

They farmed in the Town of Beaver until 1951. They then moved to California for a couple years and later moved to Florida and lived there about five years. In 1960, they moved to Hatfield, where they lived until 1979, when they moved to Chippewa Falls.

Surviving him are three sons, Russell of Minneapolis Richard of Chippewa Falls, and Roger of Chippewa Falls and one grandson, Roger, Jr.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Edith, on Feb. 18, 1982 his parents four sisters and two brothers.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Smith, Lynn Smith, Glen Clouse, Edward Bowman, Bernard Clouse and Harold Ott. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, is handling arrangements.
