Goutcher, Alvin L. (1898 - 1982)


Alvin L. Goutcher, 84, 402 Dearborn St., Spencer, died on Wednesday, May 26, 1982, at Colonial House of Colby Nursing Home.

Services were conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 29. Officiating was Rev. William Ruhbusch. Burial was in West Spencer Cemetery.

Alvin Goutcher was born in Manitowoc County on March 4, 1898, to Edward and Mary (nee Roth) Goutcher.

He and Adela Pachal Langfeldt were married on May 31, 1952. He farmed in the Town of Beaver, Clark County and worked for Pathfinder for a number of years.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, South Green Grove, where he held various offices.

He is survived by his wife two sons, Wilfred (Butch) Langfeldt of Houston, Texas and Adelbert (Guy) Langfeldt of Marshfield four daughters, Mrs. Ted (Vivian) Briski of Greenwood, Mrs. Rosalee Henderson of Racine, Mrs. James (June) Pollord of New Hobbs, N.M. and Mrs. Dennis (Trudy) Taves of Marshfield 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.
