IMOGENE AMPE
Imogene Ampe, 82, Neillsville, Clark County, died Monday, July 3, 1995, at St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice House of the Dove, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 6, 1995, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Neillsville. Father Roman Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery. Grandchildren will be pallbearers.
Visitation will be at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville on
Wednesday, July 5, 1995, at 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 8
p.m.
Imogene Stabnow was born on Sept. 29, 1912, in Greenwood, to Walter
and Theresa (nee Greece) Stabnow. She received her education in
Greenwood. She married Theodore Ampe on Dec. 31, 1930, in
Greenwood. They farmed near Greenwood for many years. They then
moved into Greenwood. In 1961, they moved to Neillsville. She
worked at the Neillsville Memorial Home as a nurse s aide until she
retired in 1980. She remained living in Neillsville through her
retirement years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church,
the church choir, Gray Ladies and the Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Jerald Ampe, Milwaukee Virginia
Nowak, Milwaukee Doris Hautala, Mortongrove, Ill. Mrs. Patrick
(Gail) Clendenning, Rosholt Mrs. Lonnie (Roselyn) Odegard,
Marshfield Theodore Ted Ampe, Auburn, Maine Theresa Olson,
Neillsville and Patrick (Kolina) Ampe, Simi Valley, Cal. 22
grandchildren several great-grandchildren two brothers, Walter
Stabnow, St. Paul, Minn. and Larry Stabnow, Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents her husband one daughter,
Kathleen Maki and one granddaughter, Christine Ampe.
Gesche Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
