Rueth, Martha (1900 - 1982)


Mrs. Albert (Martha) Rueth, 81, Loyal, Clark County, died at about 7 p.m., Sunday, July 4, 1982, at her home.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Rev. James Logan officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

A 3:15 p.m. Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary was said. There was an 8 p.m. Prayer Service and an 8:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus Rosary on Tuesday evening.

Martha Mrotek was born on July 3, 1900, at Kewaunee, Wis. to Joseph and Mary Mrotek. She received her education at Kewaunee Schools.
In Nov. 1924, she and Albert Rueth were married at Kewaunee. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1974.

Martha Mrotek came to Clark County in 1918, residing in the Town of Beaver until her marriage. After her marriage, the Rueths farmed in the Town of Loyal until 1978, when they moved to the City of Loyal.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the PCCW and the Altar Society.

Surviving her are her husband, Albert one son, Sylvester of Loyal one brother, Roman Mrotek of Marshfield eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents one daughter, Cecelia one brother two half-sisters and three half-brothers.

Mike, William and Joe Rueth, Allen Schultz, Joe Weyer and Paul Bugar, Jr. served as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.
