Baehr, Harry A. (1890 - 1982)
Harry A. Baehr, 91, Route 1, Loyal, Clark County, formerly of
Withee, died at 12:15 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 1982, at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 9, at St. John's
Lutheran Church in Withee. Rev. Douglas Groenewold officiated and
burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Withee. Maurina Funeral Home,
Owen, handled arrangements.
Harry Baehr was born on Sept. 27, 1890, in the Town of Hixon to
Carl and Augusta (nee Westphal) Baehr).
He and Clara Beckman were married on May 17, 1916, at the Reseburg
Lutheran Church in the Town of Reseburg. She died on Sept. 3, 1976.
They had celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1966 and
their 60th anniversary in 1976.
They farmed in the Town of Hixon and later he made his home with
his daughter at Loyal.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Ina) Miller of
Loyal, Mrs. John (Romilda) Engebretson of Chicago and Mrs. Jack
(Elaine) Alger of St. Paul three sons, Norbert of St. Paul, Kenneth
of Altoona and Norman of Mosinee one brother, George of Withee 21
grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters.
