9 Jan 1870 he married Emily Charisey, the daughter of Joseph H. and Elizabeth (Carter) Verbeck. Their wedding took place in West Bend, Washington, WI. Their children were Nellie Arlette (b. 21 Oct 1878 in Neillsville), Ora Earl (b. 5 Mar 1875 in Neillsville), Rupert George (b. 7 Mar 1871 in Oakfield, Fond du Lac, WI) and Emogene Whitney (b. 21 May 1873 in Neillsville).
George died in Chippewa Falls 6 Jul 1917 and was buried there three days later.

George Bullard was pleasantly surprised by a number of friends at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Jenkins, East Cedar street, Thursday evening. The occasion being Mr. Bullard’s birthday.

G. W. BULLARD
The death of G. W. Bullard, aged 73 years of Chetek, occurred at 11:30 o’clock yesterday morning at St. Joseph’s hospital, following an operation which he underwent on Thursday morning. The deceased was born in Milwaukee and removed to this city with his family about twenty years ago, making this his home since that time until five years ago when he moved to Chetek. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr., of this city and Mrs. Nellie B. Johnstone of Chetek, also two sons, O. E. Bullard of Deadwood, South Dakota and Rupert Bullard of Fort Dodge, Ia. Mr. Bullard’s wife preceded him in death two weeks ago. The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock from the residence of Frank Jenkins, Sr., East Cedar St. Interment will take place in Forest Hill cemetery.

DEATH OF MRS. G. W. BULLARD
The death of Mrs. G. W. Bullard occurred at her home in Chetek on Friday morning. The deceased was 6(?) years of age and was a resident of this city for many years until she moved to Chetek a few years ago. She is survived by her husband and four children, Mrs. Frank Jenkins, Sr., of this city; Mrs. Nellie B. Johnstone, Orrin and Rupert Bullard of Chetek.
The body will be shipped to this city on Monday afternoon and will be taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jenkins, where a short service will be held. Interment will take place in Forest Hill cemetery.
