Eleazer "Lee" was born in Washington Co., NY, 25 Mar 1825, the son of Eleazer and Debba Sischo. 21 Sept 1847, he married Mary Ann Prior in Fond du Lac Co., WI. She died 9 Mar1859, leaving him with 3 children: Betsy Jane (b. 20 Jul 1848), Emma/Emily (b. 2 Aug 1850) and Miles (6 Jul 1852). The 1860 Federal Census (recorded June 1st), listed Lee as a resident of Ashford, WI.

21 Apr 1861, he married a second time in Fond du Lac Co., and his bride was Sarah Ann Baker. She was born 16 Mar 1840, at Bunker Hill, NY, the daughter of John and Ann Baker who were natives of England. Lee and Sarah had two children: Anna "Annie" Jane (b. 5 Apr 1862, m. Clark Isaac Bostwick, 1 Jan 1882) and Manford E. (b. 21 Feb 1864, d. 20 May 1929, Plummer, Benewah, ID).

When "Lee" was a resident of Auburn, WI, he enlisted as a Pvt. in the Civil War with Co. G, 14th Wis. Inf. He was mustered in 1 Jan 1862. His records state that he was a 35 year old farmer, stood 5'6 ½" tall, had black hair, a dark complexion and Hazel eyes. He served as a hospital cook. That fall 3 Oct 1862, was reported killed during the battle at Corinth, MS, where the Union Army took the victory. Actually, Eleazer had been taken captive and on the 29th, was paroled and ordered to St. Louis, MO. He later rejoined his unit and his duties and was mustered out 30 Jan 1865.

At the time of the 1870 Census, Lee was residing in Jacksonport, Door Co., WI and by 1880 had moved to Kenosha. He and Sarah then moved to Christie, Weston, Clark Co., WI, and was recorded on the 1895 Special Veterans Census. In 1886, the Sischos moved to Minnesota and in 1892, Eleazer applied for a Civil War Pension while living at Richwood, Becker, MN. He was listed on the Minnesota Territorial Census as a resident of Detroit, MN. He died 19 Apr 1908 in Rockford, WA. Sarah applied for a widow's pension in May of 1908, in the state of WA.
