Thomas Burton was born 28 Jul 1872 in Colby, Clark, WI, the son of Francis Marion and Barbara (Shanks) Tuttle. He was a sawmill worker in his father's business. His marriage to Myrtle Jane took place 21 Apr 1897. She was born 21 Aug 1880, the daughter of John Henry and Rosetta Parker. Her father was a veteran of the Civil War who had died of cancer in 1892. "Tom" and "Mertie" are buried in the Dorchester, WI Memorial Cemetery.
