Evan & Mary Yaklich

Willard, Hendren, Clark Co., WI

NEW LIFE-A square meal

Tastes mighty good after four years in a displaced persons’ camp, which explains the smiles of the Yaklich family as they polish off dinner with a cup of coffee at their new home, 1217 S. 62nd St.  Serving them is Mrs. Kristina Kolar of that address, a cousin of Mrs. Yaklich, who managed to get the family over here from a DP camp in Austria after months of negotiating.  The Yaklichs, who arrived here Monday, lived on a farm in Yugoslavia until the Communist regime drove them out.  They are from left, Milan, 17; Evan Yaklich and his wife, Mary and Mihala, 18.
