Garbrecht, August F. (8 FEB 1847 - 23 SEP 1910)
August F. Garbrecht died at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, last Friday morning, being taken there Thursday morning. He had not been well for some time, but the nature of his sickness was not thought to be so serious. The cause of his death was supperative cholangitis or liver trouble. He was 63 years and 7 months of age.
The funeral was held here (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) last Sunday afternoon, Rev. John Marks preaching the funeral sermon. The deceased leaves a wife, two son and six daughters to mourn his death.
The following relatives from out of town were here to attend the funeral: Herman Garbrecht of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fosbender and children of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Garbrecht of Abbotsford, Mrs. Robert Kelly of Fargo, N.D., Mr. M. C. Luther and daughter of Chicago, Wm. Arndt, August Arndt and Herman Arndt of Fremont, and Mrs. H. Spengler of Milladore.
August Fredrich Garbrecht was born Feb. 8, 1847 in Briedenfalda, Prussia and died Sept. 23, 1910. He came to America when a young man and after a few years was married to Miss Amelia Arndt of Fremont. He made his home at Fremont for some years and then moved to this place, where he has lived the past 22 years.
